When I became a mom, I learned something: toys take over your house. Quickly. And they’re not always easy to store and put away. I found myself being drawn to toys that I didn’t mind having lying around—toys that somehow added to our home decor, rather than detracting from it. The problem was, there weren’t too many options out there.

The Christmas after my second baby was born, my family and I visited my grandparents. I was caught up in the nostalgia of familiar holiday decorations. One of these was a vintage, wooden table puzzle shaped like Santa Claus. Not only was the puzzle a beautiful part of the Christmas decor, but my two-year-old really loved playing with it (and let’s be honest—so did I!).

From that simple experience, This & That, Etc. was born, with the mission to create quality wooden toys that are beautiful, durable, and most importantly, fun. My husband and I now work together to design, cut, and hand-paint beautiful coffee table puzzles and tic-tac-toe boards that add to your home’s aesthetic and keep your kids entertained. Even now that we’ve added one more kid to our crazy mix, we’ve worked hard to maintain high standards in our product quality and customer service. We love our products, and we think you will, too!
